In my most recent job, I worked with data using tools like Excel and Qlik, handling a range of tasks including staff scheduling and meeting productivity and quality goals. I also led data-driven projects aimed at improving various processes. As my interest in leveraging data more effectively grew, I felt the need to expand my skill set. This led me to start learning Python on my own, setting the foundation for my deeper exploration into Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
Self-Guided Journey: Navigating Through Tutorial Platforms
The road ahead was unknown, but the possibilities seemed endless. I started exploring multiple platforms like SoloLearn, w3schools, and various YouTube channels. I believed in the concept of self-driven education and wanted to take my passion for learning to a higher level.
Structured Learning: Data Science & A.I. at The Hague University
After passing the initial assessment, I had the opportunity to join the Data Science & A.I. reschooling programme at The Hague University. The course offered a well-rounded curriculum, equipping me with essential knowledge and practical experience in data science that I'm eager to apply in a professional setting.
Discovering DataCamp
My time at The Hague University led me to discover DataCamp—a platform that has courses designed by industry experts. This was a perfect complement to my structured learning, enabling me to dive deeper into specific areas that interested me the most, such as machine learning, data visualization, and statistical analysis. You can see my progress and finished courses below.
The HarvardX Experience
I aim to challenge myself further by taking courses from renowned institutions, made possible through online platforms like edX or Coursera. HarvardX's CS50's Python Programming was a notable course, as it emphasized a hands-on approach. As the next step, I enrolled in two new courses of CS50 recently; Databases with SQL and Cybersecurity.
If you haven't already, I invite you to explore my recent projects here.
